Pottery workshop: Ceramic Floral Vase & Flower Arrangement

The pairing of flowers and ceramics has always been an excellent match! With a background in both floristry and ceramics, Lisa is excited to bring this combo workshop to Cone 8. You will learn how to make a gorgeous coiled vase and how to expertly arrange the flowers to put in it. 

All materials and firing included. Just bring yourself and leave with a handmade masterpiece to impress your friends and family!

Week 1: Hand-Building Your Ceramic Vase (2 hours)

• Introduction to basic ceramic techniques
  
• Step-by-step guidance to hand-build your floral vase from clay
  
• Add texture, shape, and personal style to make it uniquely yours
  
• Vases will be dried, glazed, and kiln-fired after this session

Week 2: Floral Arrangement & Final Showcase (2 hours)

• Your finished vase will be ready for you to admire and use!
  
• Learn floral design basics: balance, color, and composition
  
• Create a stunning arrangement with fresh seasonal blooms
  
• Display your flowers in your handmade vase and take home both!
  
• 📸 Plus: Enjoy time to take photos, mingle, and celebrate your beautiful work!

Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 48 hours' notice. We require a minimum of two students per class. If you are the only student booked for a class, you will be offered the option to convert to a discounted private lesson for an additional £30 or receive a full refund. Firing and material included in the workshop. 

Glaze Variations: Due to the nature of chemical reactions and other unpredictable factors during the firing process, glazes may appear differently from our glaze tests.

Cracks & Breakage: Items may crack or break during firing due to factors such as air bubbles in the material or uneven surfaces. Please note that items with issues related to glaze variations, cracks, or breakage are non-refundable.
